In accordance with PANews, Balaji Srinivasan, author of 'The Network State' and former CTO of Coinbase, outlined a three-phase development cycle for the crypto industry during a recent podcast appearance. He described 2009–2017 as the period proving Bitcoin's viability, 2017–2025 as the rise of Ethereum and on-chain programmability, and 2025–2030 as the dawn of the privacy era. Balaji emphasized that zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) will become the core narrative, enabling ZKYC, ZK DEX, and ZK smart contracts, which will expose only the minimum necessary information. He noted that ZK technology, as deep as AI, will attract top talent and reshape finance, regulation, and digital identity infrastructure.
