Bitcoin Knots Loses 32.38% of Nodes Since Sept. 14, Core Maintains 79% Dominance

In accordance with Bitcoin.com, Bitcoin Knots has lost nearly a third of its nodes since peaking on Sept. 14, dropping 32.38% to 4,806 as of Sept. 22, 2025. Bitcoin Core remains dominant with 18,273 nodes, representing 79% of the total 23,501 public Bitcoin nodes. The decline in Knots' node count highlights the ongoing ideological divide over the use of the Bitcoin blockchain for financial transactions versus data storage and token creation.
