In accordance with Blockchainreporter, DeFi TVL has declined by $22 billion over the past week, wiping out major gains from Q3 2025. According to data from market analyst Crypto Patel, major chains like Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain all saw double-digit TVL drops amid heightened market volatility. The broader crypto market downturn, with BTC and ETH down 7.9% and 11.9% respectively, has driven the liquidity drain. DeFi TVL peaked at $166.446 billion on October 10, 2025, but has since fallen to $131.10 billion due to macroeconomic concerns and the US-China trade tariff war.
