Derived from Ecoinimist, Galaxy Digital has raised $460 million from a major asset manager to transform its former Bitcoin mining site in Texas into a high-performance computing hub for AI. The funding includes 9 million new shares and 3.8 million shares sold by executives, with the transaction expected to close on Oct. 17. The Helios facility in Dickens County will be redeveloped in partnership with AI-cloud provider CoreWeave, with the first phase launching in early 2026. Galaxy previously acquired the site in 2022 and secured a $1.4 billion project-finance facility to support the transformation.
