In accordance with BlockTempo, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has released a 73-page report analyzing the tokenization of financial assets. The report highlights that while the concept is gaining interest, real-world adoption remains limited, with 91% of jurisdictions surveyed at 'zero or very limited' stages. It identifies key challenges including legal uncertainty, settlement bottlenecks, and the risk of contagion between traditional finance and crypto markets. The report also notes that tokenization is more of an incremental evolution than a revolution, with traditional infrastructure still playing a critical role in most processes.
