In accordance with Jinse, Santiment warned that the current 'bottoming consensus' in the crypto market may be unreliable, with further downside risks likely. The analytics firm noted in a Saturday report that when a broad consensus forms around a market bottom, it is often a sign that the actual bottom has not yet arrived. Santiment highlighted that after Bitcoin briefly fell below $95,000 amid broader tech stock declines, many traders on social media claimed the worst was over. However, the firm pointed to historical data showing that such sentiment is often followed by further price declines.
