As per Bijiawang, on October 1, 2025, chain analyst ZachXBT reported that SBI Crypto, a mining pool under Japan's SBI Group, may have suffered a security breach. On September 24, approximately $21 million in funds were suspiciously transferred from addresses associated with the company. The stolen assets included Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. Attackers moved the funds to five instant exchange platforms and eventually deposited them into the Tornado Cash mixer. ZachXBT noted that multiple indicators suggest the attack shares similarities with known North Korean (DPRK) hacking activities. As of the report's publication, SBI Crypto had not issued any public statement regarding the incident.
