According to U.Today, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino announced that the company's Wallet Development Kit (WDK) is nearing a 100% open-source release. The WDK aims to enable the creation of self-custody wallets across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, TON, and Spark (Lightning Network), with gasless transactions and DeFi functions. Ardoino expects the tool to drive the creation of 'trillions' of self-custodial wallets, offering users 'pure freedom.' The WDK will also support account abstraction and cross-chain messaging, with future support for Solana and Tron.
