Create API

Last updated: 12/05/2025

To make trading more convenient, users can create API to conduct their trading and withdrawal operations. The API creation process is as follows:

1. Log in to https://www.kucoin.tr, click the avatar, in the drop-down menu, select API Management Create API, as shown in the image.

2. A window will pop up where you can choose either API-Base Trading or Link Third-Party Applications. For API trading, enter the API name and API Passphrase.

For linking to a third-party application, first select the name of the third-party app you wish to link. Then, enter the API Name and API Passphrase, and select API Permissions. For account security purposes, withdrawals are not supported by linking a third-party application, and there is no need to link an IP address. During transactions, the platform will utilize the configured third-party IP addresses.

During the creation process, pay attention to the relevant prompts and rules on the API creation page. Here are some points for your special attention:

       a. The API passphrase is crucial. You will need the API passphrase for verification when using the API. Additionally, do not disclose your API key to prevent any potential loss of assets.

       b. To keep your account secure, an API Passphrase is required for API calls. If you lose your API Passphrase, you must create a new API Key.

       c. After linking a third-party app with an API Key, usage of that API Key will be restricted to requests from the IP address of that third-party app by default, allowing access to the API endpoint using the API Key to only that third-party application.

For API Based trading, please enter API Name, API Passphrase, and select API Permissions, IP Restriction.  For account security purposes, enable withdrawals API permission is not recommended.

       a. Never disclose your API Keys to anyone. For security, we recommend adding IP address restrictions to your API Keys.

       b. To ensure the security of your assets, API Keys for spot trading that do not have IP address restrictions configured will be automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity. If an API Key is deleted, you will need to re-apply for further use. API Keys with IP address restrictions configured or those that only have General permissions have no expiration date.

       c. API Keys that do not have IP address restrictions configured cannot be granted transfer permissions

3. A security verification will pop up. Enter your trading password, email verification code, and Google verification code or SMS code and trading password

4. Click the button to confirm and complete the creation.
