Based on CoinEdition, Alibaba and JPMorgan are set to launch a new tokenization-based payment system called Agentic Pay in December. The system will use JPMorgan’s JPMD deposit tokens, which are bank-backed digital money, instead of traditional stablecoins or non-bank crypto tokens. The service will allow U.S. and European buyers to make instant cross-border payments using digital versions of their local currencies. Alibaba’s B2B platform, Alibaba.com, is also launching a generative AI-powered subscription service to help buyers automate supplier search, logistics, and compliance.
