In accordance with ChainCatcher, 39-year-old Keyron Moore was sentenced to 13 years in prison for kidnapping, torture, and sexual assault in 2022. The victim was held captive and demanded a $1 million Bitcoin ransom, enduring violent treatment before escaping. Moore received a 13-year sentence (with 3 years already served), a lifetime weapons ban, and must register as a sex offender for 20 years. Another juvenile co-offender will be sentenced on October 3 in Oshawa.
