According to Bijié Wǎng, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino jointly attended the launch event of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) new tokenized collateral and stablecoin initiative. Crypto.com's Kris Marszalek also attended. The meeting took place months after the two had publicly clashed, with Garlinghouse calling Tether a potential 'black swan' and Ardoino countering with criticism of Ripple's SEC investigation. The timing is notable as Tether recently announced the launch of its U.S.-regulated stablecoin USAT, which will directly compete with Ripple's RLUSD.
